I am a Junior here at Mercer with a major in chemical commerce on the Pre-Pharmacy track. While I've only been in the club for three years, I was in many performances in musical theatre throughout high school. Since joining Ballroom, I've been able to grow as a dancer and become a part of a larger community through our competitions (shout out to Atlanta Swing Classic). My favorite styles of dance are East Coast Swing and Salsa.
I am a Junior mechanical engineering student, hoping to one day work at an engineering firm where I can work on airplanes. This is my third year doing ballroom, but I have done many other styles of dance from ballet to tap to musical theatre for 13 years. I hope to continue taking dance classes and even teach a few after school. My favorite styles of ballroom are Cha Cha, West Coast Swing, and Jive.
I am a Biomedical Engineering major, Class of 2023! Originally from Atlanta, I currently live in Canton, GA. Before college, I danced in a company for 10 years, practicing ballet, tap, and much more. I’ve also had the opportunity to choreograph and teach two pieces for a student showcase at my studio. After coming to Mercer and joining both the ballroom club and team freshman year, I fell in love with all the different styles of partner dancing, my favorites being West Coast Swing and Cha Cha. I also love the sense of community we’ve created through social dancing together every week.
I am a Freshman journalism major, and this is my first year in this club. I participated in musical theatre at West Forsyth High School and learned to dance through my time in their program. I was in many productions such as Hello, Dolly! and Into the Woods. I chose to join Ballroom freshman year because I wanted to get better at dancing and thought that this style of dancing would be an excellent place to start. I also wanted an excuse to get out of my dorm more often. My favorite dance is the Viennese Waltz.
